Thinking back when I first decided to take anatomy, initially I thought it would be all so cool.

Then I had cold feet. I thought it would be scary seeing cadavers, and maybe I would start to see things in my room and when I sleep. HAHA

But! I overcame it! In fact, I enjoyed every single lesson (:

Anyways to share with you.

Yes smoking is bad for your health

VERY BAD

A normal lung is already a little black, thats normal, as we all live in a modernized world, there is dust and a lil pollution, hence your lungs absorbs all these dust particles, and they cannot be engulfed by your phagocytes, macrophages etc etc etc... cannot be broken down or destroyed. So yeah that accounts for the lil blackish lungs a normal non-smoker would get.

But imagine a smoker.

U don't see it, cuz you arent transparent, and its not like you can take it out and wash it then put it back. (hahaha)

That sounds gross right, but aiyah, its nothing held a lung yesterday, thats nothing.

Anyways what else does smoking do to your body, your hair in ur nose, called Cilia. Its tiny hair, for your info its not ur big black nose hair that sticks out of your nose! Its really tiny, and aids in sweeping your mucous outwards, so that you can sneeze it out or downwards, so that it would be swallowed. These are 2 ways how you can get rid of it.

But because you are a smoker, your cilia stiffens. And when that happens, you cant sweep your mucous upwards or downwards. So perhaps by gravity, it goes downwards into your nasal cavity and then into the pharynx. When in the pharynx, it probably irritates your throat, hence you cough. And then when you cough, it gets expelled out from the pharynx into your mouth (oral cavity) and yucks.. it comes out as spit or rather FLAM. you always hear those old uncles clearing their throats. Especially those old uncles that smokes...

yeah .. thats because of smoking...and they are going to spit out their flam.

I nearly puked once when this old uncle started clearning his throat and spit right in front of me. Not exactly in front of me... he was prob 15m away from me. But still.. it was so disgusting, I could feel my chyme in the small intestine being pushed up into the stomach and almost up my oesophagus and into my mouth.
