Being there for her when she suffered from dementia, and she doesn't remember a thing. Doesn't know he was her husband, doesn't recognize the kids. But he preserved on, and finally she remembered who she was, and who he is. And they spent their last moments together, in loved, and held each other to sleep forever.

I was inspired to write about this topic as I walked home from the bus stop. I saw this Caucasian old couple walking hand in hand, husband supporting the wife as they crossed the road. Sweet.

I thought to myself, would we be like that in the future too?

Then as I continued to walked, I saw this Chinese old couple walking one in front of the other. The male leads first.

Or will we be like this?

I know in the Asian culture, the male still wants to be the leader; the man of the house. And they are less romantic; the older generation. But the younger generation are changing, following the western culture of being more romantic. (:

I ponder upon myself, thinking about us. If we make it through,

I hope of cause.

Will we be as sweet as the pictures above?

Will we still be madly in loved?

Even when I grow old, wrinkly, grumpy and I am unable to walk properly.

Would you still love me as dearly as you did now?

He said yes.

I hope and want to be hopelessly in love with the one I spend the rest of my life with.
