October very HOT date!

Lets talk about the weather first.
The weather right here in sunny Singapore has been INSANELY HOT! So so so hot, that I just want to stay indoors and hide under my blankets all day (if only I could....)
And then sometimes, yes sometimes only, the weather will go a little crazy and rain like mad in the night. Lightning and thunder.... storming.... and fallen trees.
Maybe that's why I fell sick.
The eccentric weather killed my poor weak body. :(

Alrighty, enough about the weather.

For the month of October, it's his month to plan.
He chose.... Sentosa's Songs of the Sea.
Entry to Sentosa is 2 bucks (I think.....)
Parking is pretty reasonable, $1 per entry, and there are lots of parking. Nothing to worry and a very very short walk to the venue.

Tickets: $15 for premium seats.
Well he thought premium seats would be special and maybe you get some specific better seating area.
Apparently not really, your seat just looks nicer, it's a plastic chair which you can lean back and seating is still based on a first come first serve basis. While the normal seating, which cost I think $10 is just a bench, pretty much do-able I would say, as the whole show lasted only 20 mins.

The opening act comprises of 4 very close to any Singaporean heart songs. I can only remember 1 of the titles, "chan mali chan" but yes the rest were very very familiar, songs that we used to sing during our primary school days.

I was actually expecting more, I thought the "musical" would be based on something very Singaporean, maybe like more child hood songs by Dick Lee, Liang Wen Fu, etc...

The whole show featured 4 elements, water, fire, lights(laser) and music. The laser show featured some cartoon characters like Oscar, an evil "rock"? a pretty princess name Amee? That was probably to entice the little ones.

We liked the fire and water element the best. The choreography was not that bad; the music, lightings and water fountain choreography. Last but not least, it ended with some fireworks.

A place to go only once I would say. Definitely not worth $15 bucks. If you wanna go, consider just getting the $10 bucks tix and save the $5 bucks for something else (:
But it was our hot date, so that was all that mattered.

(:

I will upload some pix soon!

Watch out for the November Hot date!
All booked!

And am looking forward to it! :D

have a good week my secret readers!

xoxo
Steph
